Christina Haack is a Californian born girl. She was born July 9, 1983. Her first job post-school was as a real estate agent. It was here that she made friends with Tarek. They enjoyed great success through 2008, but then the market collapsed and a lot of house flippers as well as real estate investors were bankrupt. Tarek El Moussa almost destroyed in the 2008 financial crisis. The couple moved from their expensive house, for which they paid $6,000 for a month to a smaller apartment which cost only $700. Their business, and the economy in general, slowly rebounded. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted an acquaintance to create an audition tape to HGTV that featured Christina reflipping properties completely from scratch. Pie Town Productions' executives were able to access the tape. The couple fell in love Tarek and Christina. The couple officially signed a HGTV agreement in 2012. In April 2013, "Flip of Flop" was launched. Between 2013 and 2017 the show was broadcast in 92 episodes. On the show, Christina and Tarek would acquire properties, which are typically mid-income homes located in Orange County, and would follow up with several weeks making upgrades so they could sell the home to make profit. Tarek's focus is on demolition and renovating, while Christina is focused on designing.
