Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a famous American actress and singer. Parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. She was raised and birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. She was able to land her first acting role in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent before she was thirteen, and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. Also, Bell began taking classes in acting privately. Bell played an uncredited part in Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and the drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy character. Bell attended The Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre in New York City. Bell dropped out of studying in the year 2001, and assumed the role of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. In the was the same year that she also was the first to be credited as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her character was not shown in the credit sequence. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in The Crucible Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
